About Charlie Murphy

Once known mainly for his role as Eddie Murphy's off-screen brother, Charlie Murphy is quickly emerging as a breakout star on his own. As a member of the supporting cast of "Chappelle's Show," his outrageous autobiographical "Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories" have become part of pop culture history.

Charlie has performed his stand-up act in comedy clubs, colleges, casinos and theaters. He has also appeared as a guest on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and Comedy Central's "Merry F-in X-Mas."

As an actor Charlie has appeared in films such as Snoop Dogg's "Murder Was the Case," "Jungle Fever," "Mo Better Blues," "Harlem Nights," "King's Ransom" and "Roll Bounce."

Charlie's other Hollywood credits include screenwriting duties for "Vampire in Brooklyn" and "Paper Soldiers."
