About Dana Carvey

Emmy Award-winning comedian Dana Carvey has maintained a tremendous career. He was a repertory member of "Saturday Night Live" for seven seasons, best known for his characters: the Church Lady, Hans of the Hans and Franz bodybuilding duo, Garth on the immensely popular sketch "Wayne's World" and Weekend Update's Grumpy Old Man. All of them can be seen in "SNL: The Best of Dana Carvey" on DVD.

In addition to these characters, Dana has received widespread praise for his uncanny and exaggerated comedic impersonations of such political figures as former President George Bush, H. He reprised many of his SNL characters for "The Dana Carvey Show," a critically acclaimed variety show on ABC (featuring Louis C.K., Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert), which is now available on DVD. The show was most notable for launching Robert Smigel's cartoon "The Ambiguously Gay Duo."

His film appearances include "Master of Disguise." His second HBO stand-up special, the first in 13 years, "Squatting Monkeys Tell No Lies," is available on DVD.
