About Jamie Kennedy

Setting himself apart from his contemporaries as an actor, writer and producer, Jamie Kennedy is proving that talent and versatility can be parlayed into success in several different forums of entertainment.

Kennedy co-wrote and starred in the Warner Bros. hit film "Malibu's Most Wanted." Kennedy's character in the film, B-Rad is based on the one that he created and portrayed on his popular WB television series "JKX: The Jamie Kennedy Experiment," where he wears three hats as star, writer and producer. The show recently concluded its third and final season.

While JKX is no longer, that certainly does not spell the end of television for Kennedy as he's executive producing two mid-season shows for the WB. While JKX is no longer, that certainly does not spell the end of television for Kennedy as he's executive producing two mid-season shows for the WB. "The Next Hollywood Starlet" will be a half hour comedy/reality skein based loosely on his book. It will take a group of aspiring actresses who will live, work and ultimately compete against one another in a bid to get discovered. His other project is "Shacking Up," starring Fran Drescher, a sitcom based on Kennedy's real life experiences when he moved to Los Angeles and became involved with a dysfunctional family. Both shows are scheduled to debut mid-season on The WB.

Kennedy's breakout performance was in Wes Craven's "Scream" and "Scream 2" for which he won a Blockbuster Award for Best Supporting Actor/Horror, since then he has been seen in such films as; "Bait" starring Jamie Fox and David Morse, New Line Cinema's "Boiler Room" starring Ben Affleck and Giovanni Ribisi, the Warner Brothers feature "Three Kings," starring George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube and Spike Jonze, and the Universal Feature "Bowfinger" with Eddie Murphy, Steve Martin and Heather Graham.

Kennedy's other credits include "Enemy of the State" opposite Will Smith and Gene Hackman, "William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet" with Leonardo DiCaprio, and "The Specials." Kennedy currently resides in Los Angeles.

Not confined solely to any one medium, last year, Kennedy released his autobiography, Wannabe...A Hollywood Experiment. In the book, he shares with the readers the good and the bad times, from his boyhood in Philly to his Hollywood experiences (and inexperience).
