As a result she was selected as the first female host of Black Entertainment Television (BET) Comic View. She hosted the show for an entire year, which brought her into millions of homes daily.

In 2000, Sommore was selected to be a part of the highly successful The Kings & Queens of Comedy tour. The tour garnered Sommore a wider fan base and got her registered in Guinness Book of World Records as being the first female comedienne to perform before an audience of over 44,000 people in Atlanta, GA at the Georgia Dome; never has a female comedienne accomplished that.

Sommore believes that "Comedy is an expressive art; it's not what you say, it's how you say it." Sommore, views her own comedy as a form of self-expression; it's no wonder why she's been dubbed the new Whoopi Goldberg with make-up. Her views represent the importance of being able to freely express oneself first and foremost, to think intelligently, and to always represent oneself with grace, style and class.

Sarcasm coupled with realism empowers this "Queen" to express her point of view about life. She consistently delivers her message with humor on the reality of this day and time. "Funny is funny regardless of personal differences", explains Sommore. Her hilarious live stage performances are a reflection of her beliefs. Sommore is always ready to tell it like it is whenever a situation demands a candid approach.

Sommore continues to perform to sold out audiences across the country with her 'One Woman' show, and has earned the distinct reputation of being the only female comic accepted in the "boys club" of stand-up comedy. No wonder it is not a surprise that this 'Queen' really stands alone!
