Our Hottest Romances of 2016

Prepare to dump your significant other in a jealous rage.

As one shivers beneath the icy hand of death, it’s helpful to stay warm with a red-hot romance. A lot of the most influential people in the world (A.K.A. fictional characters on TV shows) fell in love this year — or at least had a sweet-ass make-out sesh. Here are some of our favorites.

ILANA AND BLAKE GRIFFIN

Let’s call this hookup what it was: two very cool people having a very cool romance. For years, teens will debate whether they are a Blake or an Ilana. For now, though, we can all take satisfaction in knowing that these two quirky lovebirds found each other.

BILLIE AND TRICK MALLOY AS THE GOBLIN KING

Billie’s dance with the Goblin King A.K.A. Trick Malloy A.K.A. special guest Channing Tatum was only a dream, but it was a damn good one. Billie may need to watch “Labyrinth” before falling asleep every night, but we prefer to watch this video of her recreating “Labyrinth” before getting out of bed every morning.

FREDERICK BELLACOURT AND HARVARD

Is there a love more pure than that between a Harvard alumni and his alma mater? Certainly not in our bitter, spiteful eyes. Frederick has had many loves over the course of Another Period, but none could so steal his heart like the school he definitely didn’t deserve to get into.
