About Steve Rannazzisi

Actor/comedian Steve Rannazzisi is best known for his role as "Kevin," the League Commissioner on FXX’s hit show "The League." The semi-scripted comedy, now in its fifth season, is a tent pole for the new FXX network after it helped to successfully launch comedy on the FX channel. "The League" follows the quirky members of fantasy football league, who including Rannazzisi, are played by Paul Scheer, Nick Kroll, Mark Duplass, Katie Aselton, and Jon Lajoie.

Growing up in Long Island, Rannazzisi studied Theatre and Film at SUNY Purchase. After a short-lived desk job in NYC, he moved to Los Angeles and joined famed Groundlings School and Comedy Troupe. And with the ironic gift that only Mitzi Shore could grant, he got his first job as a doorman at the world-famous Comedy Store on Sunset Blvd. It was there that he honed his skills amongst some of the most prolific comics in the business, such as Eddie Griffin, Joe Rogan and Andrew Dice Clay.

But when show producer Ashton Kutcher saw him perform at that same Comedy Store one night after the headliners had headed to the bar, Rannazzisi was quickly brought on as one of the audacious cast members toying with celebrities in the popular hidden camera show "Punk’d."

Since then Steve has continued to make audiences laugh in feature films, on television and on stages across the country. After his success on "Punk'd," he was made a series regular as the soon-to-be best-man on ABC's "Big Day" alongside Marla Sokoloff, which chronicled all the hilarious happenings leading up to a couples’ wedding. After that series ended, Rannazzisi was cast yet again by ABC as a lead opposite Heather Locklear in "See Jayne Run." He is currently starring in the second season of his web series "Daddy Knows Best."

His additional past credits include spots on "Samantha Who?," "Kitchen Confidential," HBO's "Sex in the City," and NBC's "Third Watch." Rannazzisi has also performed on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" and appeared in the feature films "Paul Blart: Mall Cop," "Imagine That," "Summer of Sam," and "For Your Consideration."
