Meet the Cast

Ilana Glazer

Ilana Glazer is the cocreator and costar of the critically acclaimed web series and Comedy Central series Broad City. Her debut stand-up comedy special, "The Planet Is Burning," was released in January 2020. Glazer starred in the 2021 horror film "False Positive," which she also cowrote and executive produced. With her development and production company, Starrpix, she launched the digital stand-up series Tight Five and the one-hour comedy special Comedy on Earth on Comedy Central. Glazer is also the cofounder of the nonprofit Generator Collective, which was founded in 2016 to humanize policy through people-powered stories on social media and to define minimal civic engagement.

Petey DeAbreu

Petey DeAbreu is a Bronx-born-and-raised comedian. He recently toured with Ilana Glazer, worked as a producer on Glazer's stand-up special "The Planet is Burning" and is developing a show with Glazer for Comedy Central. Petey also performed at Comedy Central's Clusterfest 2019 and debuted two half-hour stand-up specials, "POVerty" and "A Dead Ass Half" at Union Hall. Additionally, Petey has appeared several times as a guest on NPR's "Wait Wait…Don't Tell Me."

Alison Leiby

Alison Leiby is a co-producer of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel." Previously, Alison wrote for The President Show, The Opposition and "Triumph's Election Watch 2016;" contributed writing to Broad City; and consulted on Sacha Baron Cohen's "Who Is America?" She was a writer on the pilot for "The Rundown with Robin Thede" and the pop-culture comedy show "We Have Issues." She has written for McSweeney's, VICE, Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire, and has had several pieces featured in The New York Times including "A Few Questions About the Specials" and "More Jokes from Martin Shkreli." Alison also executive produced Ilana Glazer's stand-up special, "The Planet Is Burning," and performed in Glazer's Comedy Central stand-up series "Tight Five." Alison's Twitter profile, which has over 23,000 followers, has also been featured in several publications. She is currently developing her one-woman show, "Oh God, An Abortion Show." Her podcast, "Ruined," with Halle Kiefer can be heard on RadioPoint.

Larry Owens

Larry Owens is a performer, writer, director and comedian residing in New York City. Larry is a Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Actor in a Musical and a Lucille Lortel Award winner for starring as the alter ego of writer, composer and lyricist Michael R. Jackson in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical "A Strange Loop" at Playwrights Horizons directed by Stephen Brackett, with choreography by Raja Feather Kelly. Larry can be seen on the television series "High Maintenance," "Helpsters," "Betty," "Dash & Lily," "Modern Love," "Search Party," and "Life & Beth," the feature "Silent Retreat" directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson, and as a voice on the animated series "Fairfax." Larry studied drama and improvisation at the School at Steppenwolf and has headlined sold-out venues like Carolines on Broadway, Feinstein's/54 Below and The Bell House.

Sydnee Washington

Sydnee Washington was born in New York City but spent most of her childhood in Oakland, California. She is the host of her own Instagram Live show, "Syd Can Cook," and the host of the podcast "Hobby Hunter." She cohosts the podcast "The Unofficial Expert," where she discusses her many fields of expertise, like flirting, porn, daddy issues, online dating, cookouts, stalking, sex toys and runaway brides. Sydnee was recently honored as an Up Next comedian at Comedy Central's Clusterfest, hosted a weekly comedy show at the Knitting Factory, and can be seen on the TV series "Laff Mobb Laff Tracks."
